The United Evangelical Lutheran Church in India has a commitment towards Dalit & Adivasi communities for their liberation from all the oppressive structures & forces, UELCI adopted the Dalit liberation as its prime agenda and launched this program with the support of The Lutheran World Federation.
The Youth in India encompass 40% of the population. They are the most vibrant and dynamic segment of the population. This segment needs to be educated not only intellectually but also about the reality in India. The Youth Desk deals with youth movements and participates in the ecumenical movements like the NCCI, SCMI, Change Makers etc. It plays a vital role in understanding, developing and responding to life issues and promoting Human Rights.
The Women's Desk engages in issues of inclusive communities, gender rights, violence against women, women's ordination, feminist theology, women's participation in church and social structures.
